West Virginia LTAP Center

What is LTAP?

The Local Technical Assistance Program is a part of the Federal Highway Administration. LTAP was created to stimulate active, progressive, and cost-effective technology transfer to the individuals and agencies that maintain our rural, local, and tribal streets, roads, and bridges.

The National LTAP network consists of individual centers. These are known as T2 or T3 Centers, others known as tribal centers, and still others known by the LTAP name. All of the centers that make up this network share a common goal: To bring transportation technology, services, products, and educational resources to the local level.

The WV LTAP Center is proud to be part of this important network, which allows us to bring transportation technology from around the world to West Virginia's local level.

CENTER PROFILE CONTACT INFORMATION

The WV LTAP Center was established to serve West Virginia’s municipalities by disseminating information on techniques for managing the roadway and street infrastructure. Our goal is to translate state-of-the-art technologies in roads and bridges for use by local roadway transportation personnel.

Through our training and information distribution, the WV LTAP Center is striving to help the state's municipalities (and other engineering and construction agencies involved in the highway field) get the most out of their limited budgets. We are eager to help you in addressing individual technical needs. Give us a call or stop by for a visit. Click here for directions.
