Our Mission

The mission of the West Virginia LTAP is to foster a safe and efficient transportation system which enhances the economic development of West Virginia by improving skills and increasing knowledge of the transportation workforce and decision makers.

Pedestrian & Bicycle Transportation Training - April 13

The WV LTAP is hosting Pedestrian & Bicycle Transportation training on April 13 in Martinsburg, WV at Shepherd University - Martinsburg. Click here for more information. To register online, click here.



Please note that priority will be given to agencies located in West Virginia. Agencies outside of West Virginia can register beginning on March 1. Deadline for all registrations is Thursday, April 6.

2017 Build a Better Mousetrap Competition

Have you or one of your coworkers recently built an innovative gadget? Have you developed an improved way to accomplish everyday tasks? If either of these are true, you've built a better mousetrap and now is the time to show off the project your roadway agency is proud of in the WV LTAP's Build a Better Mousetrap Competition.

Roadway Management Conference Survey

We are working to bring back the Roadway Management Conference (RMC), but we need your help.


A short online survey has been developed to help determine if the RMC should be revived and to make programming and logistical decisions about this event. Please take a few minutes and provide your feedback.

Work Zone Safety App

A new Work Zone Safety app developed by ATSSA has been recently released and is available for FREE.


The app provides quick access to useful field guides and has a calculation tool to help develop a traffic control plan.
